LifeWise Insurance of Washington website

We heard you.

You told us that the old LifeWise website presented challenges when it came to accomplishing common tasks, such as finding a doctor, paying a bill, or reviewing plan benefits.

It was your feedback that inspired the redesign and development of LifeWise.com.

Launched in July of 2024, the new LifeWise.com reflects our ongoing commitments to be responsive to our members’ needs and health plan goals and to improve overall member experiences with LifeWise.

Website improvement highlights

Enhanced site navigation: We’ve made drop-down menus more click friendly with information pathways that are easier and quicker to find and follow.

Search tool: If the main menus don’t have what you’re looking for, use the new search tool at the top of every page. Enter a few keywords to instantly generate a list of related pages, articles, or videos.

Page design: Our user experience, web design, and writing teams collaborated to make information on each web page easier to scan, read, and understand. The information is clear and succinct. No fluff or long-winded content.

Under the hood upgrades: There are perhaps a hundred improvements that are less visible to the naked eye, but highly important, nonetheless. Developers, search experts, and content managers worked successfully to make the new site operate faster. Content is now more discoverable by Google, Bing, and other search engines.

Our teams also worked to ensure that the new site met or bettered all standards for accessibility.

Member-tested

Before we launched the new site, we handed the keys to a few LifeWise members so they could give it a road test. We wanted to see how our upgrades worked for actual site users, and what areas still needed improvements.

Here’s what we learned:

One of the most common sources of frustration with members using our old site was finding an in-network provider. We were relieved to see much higher success and satisfaction with that task. Members found other assigned tasks, such as finding care, checking drug coverage, and browsing health plans, easier to accomplish as well.

There was universal delight in the updated page design and information flow. Pages are now much more scannable. “Way cleaner,” “less clutter,” and “easy to find what I’m looking for” were comments we captured.

Some members pointed to ambiguities in how we named a couple of menu items. For example, with that feedback we renamed the menu title, “Your health,” to the more succinct, “Health & Wellness.”

And sometimes it’s the seemingly simple things that make a difference for members. Many expressed appreciation for making the “Sign In” button and experience “obvious and easy.”

Thanks to all the LifeWise members who provided input in the development and review of our new and improved website. We couldn’t have done this without your participation.

Check out the new LifeWise.com and let us know what you think. We welcome your feedback.
